The more Responsibility You Take at Home...
One of the most essential traits to be a successful leader is initiative. Recognizing and DOING what needs to be done BEFORE you are asked. Most often it means doing things that aren’t your responsibility. John Maxwell’s third level of leadership is production. It states that people follow you because of what you have done for the organization. Simply stated in means you have taken initiative.
The easiest place to develop initiative is at home. The more responsibilities you take at home leads to more privileges. There are always chores to be done. It is incredibly easy to sit back and do nothing, with the excuse of “It’s not my job!” You’re right. It isn’t. A leader uses this OPPORTUNITY to take initiative.
Don’t wait for your parents to ask you to do something take initiative and show you are a leader at home!
